Edgemont View Nursing Home deaths

The home has issued a statement saying a significant number of its 21 residents have recently died from Covid-19 coronavirus. The home's director has not confirmed the number of deaths and the statement says that the home followed official advice and procedures and that their staff continue to use appropriate PPE. The statement says "It is of some comfort to know that all of those who have died did so peacefully, in a place with which they were familiar, cared for by staff who knew them well and who cared for them as individuals" and extends deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those who have died and that their continued focus is on the care and wellbeing of remaining residents and the staff who continue to care for them.
