HMS Illustrious moved from Portsmouth dock

A worker stands on the bow as tugs move the former Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Illustrious from Portsmouth Naval Base out into the harbour ahead of her final voyage to a scrap yard. Illustrious, the last of the Invincible Class carriers, has been sold to the Leyal Ship Recycling and Dismantling company in Aliaga, Turkey - the same yard that dismantled her sister ships Ark Royal and Invincible.
