A 7m in diameter sphere, printed with NASA imagery of the Moon, made by Cameron Balloons in Bristol and filled with helium, the ‘moon’ will float above Ashton Court during the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta and light up at night. The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is Europe’s largest ballooning event and takes place from Thursday 11th August – Sunday 14th August, attracting half a million people over four days. This year 150 hot air balloons will attend, taking off in mass ascents at dawn and dusk. On Thursday and Saturday evenings, 30 balloons will tether in the main arena and light up in sequence to music for the famous Night Glows. Photo credit : Simon Chapman/LNP
