125th London to Brighton Veteran Car Run

Over 320 pre-1905 vintage vehicles are taking part in the 125th anniversary of the historic Emancipation Run which celebrated the passing of the Locomotives on Highway Act increasing the speed limit from 4mph to 14mph, dispensing with the need for vehicles to be preceded by a man waving a red warning flag, effectively ending centuries of horse drawn transport and giving motorists the freedom of the road.
