As the sun sets over Cardigan Bay, tens of thousands of starlings (known as ‘adar yr eira’ - ‘snow birds’ in Welsh) perform their spectacular ‘murmurations’ in the sky as they return to roost for the night on the forest of cast iron legs underneath Aberystwyth’s Victorian seaside pier.
