Bristol teacher and member of the National Education Union's national executive SHEILA CAFFREY calls for workers in the arms industry to stop producing and transporting armaments, speaking to hundreds of people with Palestinian flags and trade union banners before they march through the streets of Easton in Bristol from the Shah Jalal Mosque in Eastville to the city centre, protesting for a free Palestine and calling for a ceasefire and peace in the conflict between Hamas in Gaza and Israel with some also calling for Western military action on Yemen to stop. The ongoing attacks on the Palestinian territory of Gaza by Israel have now killed over 25000 Palestinians, many of them women and children according to authorities in Gaza and destroyed much of the built up areas there. The Hamas organisation who rule Gaza attacked Israel on 07 October killing 1200 Israelis and taking over 200 hostages according to the Israeli authorities. At least 80 media have been killed since the conflict began, more than doing the entire Vietnam war. Photo credit: Simon Chapman/LNP.
