Romano British Tombstone found in Cirencester, Gloucestserthire during excavations in the town. Now on display at the towns museum.

© Licensed to London News Pictures 25/01/2016, Cirencester, UK. A unique Roman tombstone, found in February 2015, goes on display for the first time at Corinium Museum in Cirencester. The tombstone was found near skeletal remains thought to belong to the person named on its inscription, making the discovery unique. After being found during excavation works on a former site of a garage, archaeologists said they believed it marked the grave of a 27-year-old woman called Bodica. Other theories point to it possibly belonging to a couple - as skeletal remains of women were found nearby.
