Pink Supermoon
Download© Licensed to London News Pictures; 26/04/2021; Bristol, UK. A waxing full moon is seen above rooftops in Bristol. This month's full moon will fall on 27 April, the fourth full moon of 2021, and is called the pink supermoon, thought to have been named by a group of Native Americans after the pink moss (creeping phlox) that grows during this time of the year. The supermoon is set to pass within 358,000km from Earth, appearing a 30 per cent brighter and 14 per cent larger than some previous full Moons. Photo credit: Simon Chapman/LNP.
