The painting, originally known as “Girl with Balloon”, was famously shredded by the artist in Sotheby’s London auction room in 2018 after being sold for £1,042,000. The resulting artwork was later renamed “Love Is in the Bin” and will be offered for sale in Sotheby’s contemporary art evening auction on October 14 with an estimate of £4-6 million.
