This month’s full moon is called the Worm Moon according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, when earthworms appear as the soil warms in spring. It is also so named by Native American tribes referring to a different sort of “worm”- beetle larvae - which begin to emerge from the thawing bark of trees and other winter hideouts at this time.
